A rugged Remote-Access Ultrasonic (UT) Crawler designed for cost effective ultrasonic inspection on ferrous-magnetic structures such as storage tanks wall without the need for costly scaffolding or rope access associated with UT thickness gauging. This system can also be equipped with High Pressure washer for cleaning of the tank walls.
The remote access ultrasonic (UT) Crawler that magnetically attaches to the thank wall, this system is comprised of:
- Magnetic and suction wheels
- Position encoder
- Electric motors 4-wheel drive
- A dry coupled wheel transducer
- Add on pressure washer for cleaning
