A probe can be used in small tanks (size of the tank will be determined by customer requirements) to collect data in a star pattern under the manway. No position data is gathered, only UT data. This makes the probe only a tool to spot check the tank for corrosion. The probe can also be used to determine the difficulty of collection data in larger tanks. Since the operator is pushing the probe using a long pole thru a small deep manway the user is very limited in their ability to control the movement, speed and the area which has been covered.
